Five Star Embroidery has worked with anvil® for a number of years, they are an established business with a strong history spanning over 100 years. We find that whilst the fabric is an important part of the reason we choose to work with a manufacturer there are other equally important factors which anvil® appreciates too. Factors such as style, originality and quality define anvil® as a leading provider of clothing which Five Star Embroidery’s customers appreciate.
Five Star Embroidery stocks a wide range of anvil® clothing including t-shirts, vests, hoodies and sweatshirts, the range is diverse with styles for men and women in a wide collection of colours and designs.
anvil®’s team is fashion aware, providing on-trend choices for our team to choose each season. The entire range we have found, to be very comfortable and cool, all material and fabric is super soft and woven perfectly to the highest design specifications.
anvil® is also a socially aware and responsible company, who take their responsibility as a business seriously. They are committed to the environment and local communities in which they operate, this is evident in anvil® being one of the first to develop and use organic cotton and recycled P.E.T. apparel, and most of their products are certified Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
anvil® is a member of the Gildan family, a large organisation who prides themselves on good ethics and safety. Gildan pride themselves on investment not only in their surroundings but also in their employees, in 2014, they provided close to 1,000,000 man-hours of training to employees throughout their operations. They also supplied free on-site medical clinics to employees with more than 87,000 instances of medical care.
Impressively, 53% of their total energy consumption was generated from renewable sources, and 90% of their total waste was recycled or repurposed. And since 2010, their facilities have decreased greenhouse gas emission intensity by 45% and reduced waste sent to landfills by 21% (versus 2010 levels).
We will continue to work with anvil® as not only do they provide excellent products but they are a great company too!
